New Zealand really has more than it's fair share of spectacular scenery. For such a small country to have so much beautiful scenery is almost criminal!

Doubtful Sound is the fjord just south of the more famous Milford Sound in the south west of South Island. I prefer Doubtful Sound.
This is Fox Glacier in South Island, New Zealand. This glacier forms as two on the peak of Mt Cook and they soon join together in the valley. The result of the two glaciers joining is the medial moraine seen in the bottom, centre of this picture.
Reflections of snow and mountains in Doubtful Sound.
The "cave" that is formed as the glacier melts during the summer months. The silt content of this meltwater is the reason that many NZ lakes have that magnificent turquoise colour. This photograph is Fox Glacier.

This page will be added to with more South Island photos and photos from our trip to North Island - keep on watching.
