Godzilla! My first new friend in Japan. I was there for a business trip.

Here I am in a cubicle at the Cisco Tokyo office. Really!

I can't read or speak Japanese, so how do I get on the right train? Luckily, I was travelling with a local.

On the weekend, I took a 2 hour bullet-train ride from Tokyo to Nagano. I was at the 1998 Winter Olympics! This is the Nagano train station.

From the train station, you have to take a 1-2 mile hike uphill to get to where the action is. This is in the heart of Nagano city.

Along the way up, there are many temples. This one had some nice statues.

At the end of the trek lies Zenkoji Temple. This is the temple you see in the background during the Olympic coverage on television. Cameras were not allowed in the temple.

On the way back down, there was a religious ceremony in the streets.

The next day, I headed for the hills. This is where the bus dropped us for the downhill moguls event.

That's a replay of Johnny Moseley doing a helicopter jump.

This is where all the Olympic medals were awarded at the end of the day.
