Identifying the Impact of the World Wide Web on Individual Investors and Electronic Stock Trading


Thank you for taking part in my survey on the impact of the Internet and World Wide Web on the individual investor. I appreciate your time and input in answering the following questions. This survey should take about 15 minutes.

This survey is a follow-up on a similar survey which I conducted in August, 1996. The purpose of this survey is to sample the demographic breakdown, reasons for use, the benefits desired and the issues faced by individual investors who use the World Wide Web for Stock trading purposes. This survey will also identify any changes in the use of the Web for investment activities since the last survey.

This is an on-going survey starting from January 1, 1999. I expect to publish the next report in early 2000. Here are the survey results from January 1, 1997 to December 31, 1998.
