Computer architecture is an ever changing field at the cutting-edge of
computer technology. The course provides an introduction to advanced
principles and current practices in computer architecture. It focuses on issues
such as instruction set design, hardware and software methods for exploiting
parallelism, memory hierarchies, and input/output systems. It also covers
techniques for analyzing and comparing alternative organizations.
