In a Car

• Before an Earth Quake

• Gather the supplies recommeded in the "Supplies for Car" listed below.

 
• During an Earth Quake

• If you are in a car, slow down and drive to a clear place away from buildings, trees, and power lines.
• Stay in the car until the shaking stops.

• After an Earth Quake

• Avoid bridges or ramps that might have been damaged by the quake.
• Listen to the radio for earthquake damage information. There may be damaged freeways or other hazards in your direction of travel.

• Emergency Supplies for Car

• First aid kit with manual and essential medication
• Flashlight, battery operated radio and extra batteries
• Food (food bars)
• Drinking water (atleast 3 gallons per person)
• Protective clothing, rainwear, and bedding or sleeping bags.
• Emergency cash and coins
• Sturdy spare shoes
