Before you configure the Cisco router, get the following information from your Internet service provider:
- IP address for your PC
- IP subnet mask for your PC
- IP address for your router's Ethernet interface
- IP address of your DNS server
- Administrative password that you or your Internet service provider will use to manage your router
- Authentication password that your router will use when connecting to the Internet service provider
- Name of the router at the central site
- Phone number of the router at the central site
- Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) password
- Modem speed
