This release note describes the features and caveats for the Cisco 7000 family of routers that support Cisco IOS Release 11.3(1)T. The Cisco 7000 family includes the Cisco 7500 series routers, Cisco 7200 series routers, and Cisco 7000 series routers with the RSP7000 and RSP7000CI. Use these release notes in conjunction with the Release Notes for Cisco IOS Release 11.3. The software caveats that apply to Release 11.3 also apply to Release 11.3 T.
Detailed software configuration information on the new features and Cisco IOS commands supported by Release 11.3 T is available on the Documentation CD-ROM and on the Web at http://www.cisco.com. For more information, refer to the "Documentation for Release 11.3 T" section later in this document.
This release note does not describe features that are available in Release 11.3. For information about features in Release 11.3, refer to the Release Notes for Cisco IOS Release 11.3.
This release note only contains information for the Cisco 7000 family of routers. For information about other Cisco products, refer to the specific product's release notes. For additional information on features supported in Cisco IOS Release 11.3 T, refer to the Cisco IOS Software Release 11.3 T Content and Platform Support product bulletin.
Cisco Systems provides several software release "trains" based on a single version of Cisco IOS software. Maintenance releases of the Major train software (such as 11.3) deliver fixes to software defects only, thus providing the most stable software for your network, for the features you need. In addition to the Major train, there are Early Deployment (ED) trains. One ED train--Release 11.3 T--delivers both fixes to software defects and support for new Cisco platforms and new cross-platform features.
This release note discusses the following topics:
The Cisco IOS software documentation for Release 11.3 T features is available online only. New features for Release 11.3 T are documented in their own sections, which include configuration tasks and also new and changed command reference pages. This information supplements the Cisco IOS Release 11.3 configuration guide and command reference publications.
Cisco IOS Release 11.3 documentation and Release 11.3 T feature documentation can be found on the Documentation CD-ROM (FCS 1/19/98) and on CCO (FCS 12/29/97).
On the Documentation CD, the path is Cisco Product Documentation, Cisco IOS Software Configuration, Cisco IOS Release 11.3 database. For more information, refer to the "Documentation CD-ROM" section later in this document.
On Cisco Connection Online (CCO), http://www.cisco.com/, the path is Cisco Connection Online, Products and Ordering, Documentation, Cisco Documentation, Cisco Product Documentation, Cisco IOS Software Configuration, Cisco IOS Release 11.3. For more information, refer to the "Cisco Connection Online" section later in this document.

The following new features are supported by the Cisco 7000 family of routers in Cisco IOS Release 11.3(1)T.
This section lists Cisco IOS software feature sets available for the Cisco 7000 family of routers in Cisco IOS Release 11.3 T. Release 11.3 T supports the same feature sets as Release 11.3, but it might also have new features supported by the Cisco 7000 family of routers.
Table 3 provides a matrix of the new feature set organization and shows which feature sets are available on the Cisco 7000 family.
The tables use the following conventions to identify feature sets:
Cisco IOS images with strong encryption (including, but not limited to, 56-bit DES) are subject to U.S. government export controls and have a limited distribution. Images to be installed outside the U.S. require an export license. Customer orders may be denied or subject to delay due to U.S. government regulations. Contact your sales representative or distributor for more information, or send e-mail to export@cisco.com.

Refer to the Release Notes for Cisco IOS Release 11.3 publication for a list of the caveats that apply to Release 11.3. The caveats that apply to Cisco IOS Release 11.3 apply to Release 11.3 T.
The complete caveats against Release 11.3 are also available in the Cisco Documentation CD-ROM package. In the CD-ROM package, access the Cisco IOS 11.3 caveats in the Cisco IOS Release 11.3 database.
If you have an account on Cisco Connection Online (CCO), you can view additional caveats using the bug search tools in the Bug Toolkit, such as the Bug Navigator.
The following sections list caveats for Release 11.3 T that apply to the Cisco 7000 family of routers. For Release 11.3 T caveats for other Cisco products, refer to the specific product's release notes.
This section describes possibly unexpected behavior by Release 11.3(1)T. Unless otherwise noted, these caveats apply to all 11.3 T releases up to and including 11.3(1)T.
Cisco Connection Online (CCO) is Cisco Systems' primary, real-time support channel. Maintenance customers and partners can self-register on CCO to obtain additional information and services.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, CCO provides a wealth of standard and value-added services to Cisco's customers and business partners. CCO services include product information, product documentation, software updates, release notes, technical tips, the Bug Navigator, configuration notes, brochures, descriptions of service offerings, and download access to public and authorized files.
CCO serves a wide variety of users through two interfaces that are updated and enhanced simultaneously: a character-based version and a multimedia version that resides on the World Wide Web (WWW). The character-based CCO supports Zmodem, Kermit, Xmodem, FTP, and Internet e-mail, and it is excellent for quick access to information over lower bandwidths. The WWW version of CCO provides richly formatted documents with photographs, figures, graphics, and video, as well as hyperlinks to related information.
You can access CCO in the following ways:
For a copy of CCO's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), contact cco-help@cisco.com. For additional information, contact cco-team@cisco.com.
Cisco documentation and additional literature are available in a CD-ROM package, which ships with your product. The Documentation CD-ROM, a member of the Cisco Connection Family, is updated monthly. Therefore, it might be more up to date than printed documentation. To order additional copies of the Documentation CD-ROM, contact your local sales representative or call customer service. The CD-ROM package is available as a single package or as an annual subscription. You can also access Cisco documentation on the World Wide Web at http://www.cisco.com, http://www-china.cisco.com, or http://www-europe.cisco.com.
If you are reading Cisco product documentation on the World Wide Web, you can submit comments electronically. Click Feedback in the toolbar, select Documentation, and click Enter the feedback form. After you complete the form, click Submit to send it to Cisco. We appreciate your comments.
