Configuring the Router

Take the following steps to configure a Cisco 1601 router for an asynchronous serial connection:

Step 1. Understand How ClickStart Works.

Step 2. Order Asynchronous Serial Service.

Step 3. Prepare to Configure an Asynchronous Serial Connection.

Step 4. Click on the platform you are using (Windows 3.11, Windows 95 PC, UNIX workstation, or Macintosh).

Step 5. Set Up the Router.

Step 6. Configure the Router.

Step 7. Test Your Router's Configuration.
