DLCI Assignments

This appendix lists the DLCI assignments for the Cisco DSL Management Agent, as well as the mathematical process for determining DLCI numbers.

Determining DLCI Assignments Mathematically

DLCIs are derived mathematically using the following equation:

NetworkDLCI = (32*Slot) + (8*Port) + (SubscriberDLCI - 16)

Using the DLCI Assignments Table

The DLCI table is arranged by slot and port on the channel bank. Each xDSL channel unit fits into a slot in the channel unit and has a DLCI assigned for each port on the card. The ports on each channel unit card are numbered starting at zero; a four-port card will have its ports numbered from 0 to 3.
