This guide is intended for the person installing and using the Cisco DialOut Utility. You should be familiar with Microsoft Windows. If you are the system administrator, you should also be familiar with WAN, server, and router planning, implementation, and administration.

You will need your Microsoft Windows documentation.
Your Cisco DialOut Utility also includes two quick reference cards to help you quickly install and configure the software. You can also refer to the Cisco DialOut Utility online help system.
If you are the system administrator, you will need the user guide for your Cisco network access server (NAS) and the Cisco IOS software documentation, including the Telnet Extensions for Dialout supplement.
You might also want to refer to the Cisco Internetworking Terms and Acronyms guide.
Be sure to read any README.TXT file and printed updates for information that becomes available after this user guide is printed.
