About This Guide

This guide helps you understand the Enterprise Edition software for the Catalyst 2820 series and Catalyst 1900 series switches, hereafter referred to as the Catalyst 2820 and the Catalyst 1900 switches.

If you are using the Catalyst 2820 switch in an emulated LAN (ELAN), you should use this guide with the Cisco IOS Release 11.3 documentation set for routers.

Who Should Read This Guide

The Catalyst 2820 Series and Catalyst 1900 Series Enterprise Edition Software Configuration Guide is a document for experienced network administrators who are responsible for configuring and maintaining the Catalyst 2820 and Catalyst 1900 switches.
