These release notes describe changes made to the Catalys1700. For more information, see the Catalyst 1700 User Guide.

Version 1.41

This version contains the new product names: CiscoPro and EtherSwitch.

Version 1.40

This version changes the power-on self-test (POST) and static address settings to accommodate a problem int the 10BaseT interfaces.

Version 1.30

This version fixes a data corruption problem when returning the value for the sysObjectID MIB object.

Version 1.2a

This version adds full-duplex transmission for the two high-speed ports.

Version 1.1i

This version adds noAction to the list of actions possible in the event of a secure-address violation. This addition resolves an Ethernet address transmit problem in the SciTex WhisperTrack workstation and is explained in the file readme.txt.

Cisco Connection Online

Cisco Connection Online (CCO), formerly Cisco Information Online (CIO), is Cisco Systems' primary, real-time support channel. Maintenance customers and partners can self-register on CCO to obtain additional content and services.

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, CCO provides a wealth of standard and value-added services to Cisco's customers and business partners. CCO services include product information, software updates, release notes, technical tips, the Bug Navigator, configuration notes, brochures, descriptions of service offerings, and download access to public and authorized files.

CCO serves a wide variety of users through two interfaces that are updated and enhanced simultaneously--a character-based version and a multimedia version that resides on the World Wide Web (WWW). The character-based CCO supports Zmodem, Kermit, Xmodem, FTP, and Internet e-mail, and is excellent for quick access to information over lower bandwidths. The WWW version of CCO provides richly formatted documents with photographs, figures, graphics, and video, as well as hyperlinks to related information.
