About This Guide
This publication provides the information needed to prepare your site for the installation of your Cisco product. To prepare the site, you should be familiar with electronic circuitry and wiring practices and have experience as an electronic or electromechanical technician.
For detailed information on your Cisco product, refer to the appropriate installation or user guide.
Organization
This guide is divided into two major sections:
- "Site Preparation" provides the general site preparation considerations with regard to environmental considerations and distance limitations for specific interfaces.
- "System Specifications" provides the specifications for your Cisco product, such as power requirements, size, and supported interfaces.
Conventions
This publication uses the following conventions to convey instructions and information:
Note Means reader take note. Notes contain helpful suggestions or references to materials not contained in this manual.
Caution Means reader be careful. In this situation, you might do something that could result in equipment damage or loss of data.
Warning Means danger. You are in a situation that could cause bodily injury. Before you work on any equipment, you must be aware of the hazards involved with electrical circuitry and familiar with standard practices for preventing accidents.
