When we were young and oh so happy
We did not know how long it would be
Until God's Kingdom the New World would bring
At that time, we so joyously did sing

Now we are old and perhaps not so happy
Age and sickness took its toll you see
But one thing sure, our HOPE ahead is real
The closeness of it we can actually feel

So we go on and zealously share with others
The good news, and we meet with our brothers
Our joy of our HOPE ahead keeps us strong
Keeps us faithful and away from wrong
