Welcome to the poetry section of Songbook Online. As you probably seen by now, Songbook Online is composed of several sections, each page complementing the other. The poetry section is organized from the Romantic era that stemmed from Elizabethan England, to the contemporary style of E.E. Cummings.  Most of the poems that are listed here have a very familiar subject that all of us, no matter what  background or 'roots' we have,   do share.  And that is the undying desire to utter words of love.

Every person has a special gift. Are you one of those that have the gift of words? On the second list are original poems submitted by talented individuals. If you wish to have your poems posted on these pages, I would be glad to do so.
