| Weight | 2.7 lb (1.2 kg) |
For information on the straight-through Ethernet cables you must supply to connect networking devices to the hub, refer to the "Preinstallation" section in Chapter 2 "Hub Specifications and Cables."
If you are connecting a compatible switch or another Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100, in addition to the straight-through Ethernet cable, you can also use a crossover Ethernet cable. Table C-2 and Table C-3 list the crossover Ethernet cable specifications for connecting a compatible switch and another Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100, respectively.
| Type | Category | Shielding | Maximum Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10BaseT | 3 or 5 | Shielded twisted-pair (STP) or unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) | 328 ft (100 meters) |
| 100BaseTX | 5 only | STP or UTP | 328 ft (100 meters) |
| Type | Category | Shielding | Maximum Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100BaseTX | 5 only | STP or UTP | 16.4 ft (5 meters) |
For more information on connecting the hub to another Cisco 1528 Micro Hub 10/100, refer to Appendix B, "Cabling Guidelines."
This section contains wiring specifications for the following cables used with the hub:
Table C-4 describes the wiring for the straight-through 10BaseT and 100BaseTX Ethernet cable. Table C-5 describes the wiring for the crossover 10BaseT and 100BaseTX Ethernet cable.
