This release changed the power-on self test (POST) to accommodate a problem in the 10BaseT interfaces.
This is the flash-memory version of the firmware released in Version 3.55. It addresses the problems generated by the incorrect translation of the date into English characters
This release corrected a software defect that had caused Catalyst switches to hang or reboot repeatedly on a certain date. This was due to the translation of numbers to characters for the month, day and year. This EPROM-based version of the software fixed the problem.
