About This Manual

This section discusses the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the
AppleTalk Remote Access Protocol Communication Server Configuration and Reference Addendum. It also lists related Cisco publications.

Document Objectives

This manual provides the information necessary to configure your communication server to use AppleTalk Remote Access Protocol to support remote Macintosh users. This manual, used in conjunction with the Release 9.1 Communication Server Configuration and Reference, provides all of the information necessary to use and configure your communication server, including system, network, and interface configuration.

Audience

This publication addresses the system administrator who will configure and maintain a communication server configured as an AppleTalk Remote Access server, supporting remote Macintosh users running AppleTalk Remote Access software.

Document Organization

This publication has one chapter, "Configuring an AppleTalk Remote Access Server," which contains required and optional tasks for configuring your communication server to support remote Macintosh users running AppleTalk Remote Access software.

There is a command reference section at the end of the chapter. The command reference provides a description of each of the commands presented in the task-oriented section of the chapter, including complete syntax descriptions, default settings, and command usage guidelines.
