Coding in ASCII (7 bits)

These bytes are coded in decimal and represent the values of (A to Z), (a to z) and 0 to 9.

Example: The address (Ab 5) is coded in 3 bytes as: (Ab 5) = 65, 98, 53.

Coding in EBCDIC (8 bits)

These bytes are coded in decimal and represent the values of (A to Z), (a to z) and 0 to 9.

Example: The address (Ab 5) is coded in 3 bytes as: (Ab 5) = 193, 130, 245.

· v1: position of automatic call in class 8, recurrence 0,
· v2: contains byte A of the identification of the terminal if the BSC 3780 protocol is used on a PSTN (XXABC ENQ).
· v3: contains byte B (terminal identification) if the BSC 3780 protocol is used on a PSTN (XXABC ENQ).
· v4: contains byte C (terminal identification) if the BSC 3780 protocol is used on a PSTN (XXABC ENQ).
